The SEO Specialist role at 85Sixty is designed for professionals with 1–3 years of SEO experience in a digital marketing agency setting. This mid-level position focuses on the creation and execution of core SEO deliverables, including keyword research, technical audits, content optimization, on-page recommendations, and performance reporting. You’ll play an active role in driving results by producing high-quality work and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across content, design, development, and analytics. This position requires independent execution, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of SEO best practices. Ideal candidates are proactive, data-driven, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
SEO Content:
- Conduct comprehensive keyword research to inform content strategy and on-page SEO, with a focus on international targeting, localization, and search intent alignment.
Technical SEO:
- Perform technical SEO audits using tools like Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Moz, and Ahrefs; deliver prioritized, actionable recommendations.
- Optimize website architecture, metadata, content, and internal linking to improve crawlability, user experience, and organic visibility.
- Identify and implement structured data opportunities using valid, nested schema markup to support enhanced search visibility.
- Monitor backlink profiles, assess link quality, and execute link building strategies that support domain authority and organic growth.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Create and analyze SEO reports using GA4, Google Search Console, Google Trends, and other SEO platforms to monitor performance, track KPIs, and uncover optimization opportunities.
- Prepare dashboards and performance summaries; interpret data to communicate actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Strategy & Market Intelligence:
- Stay current with search engine algorithm updates, competitor activity, and industry trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Perform competitive research and market analysis to guide SEO strategy and identify new opportunities for growth.
Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with content, design, development, and analytics teams to implement SEO initiatives that align with broader digital objectives.
- Manage multiple SEO projects simultaneously, ensuring quality execution, timely delivery, and alignment with strategic goals.
Desired Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of hands-on SEO experience in a digital marketing agency setting.
- Proficiency with core SEO tools and platforms, including GA4, Google Search Console, Google Trends, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Moz, and Ahrefs.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO concepts, on-page optimization, keyword research, and structured data.
- Experience analyzing SEO performance data and preparing reports and dashboards to inform strategy and measure KPIs.
- Familiarity with schema markup implementation and knowledge of structured data best practices.
- Working knowledge of website architecture, internal linking, and content optimization for SEO.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as content, design, development, and analytics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data-driven insights to stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Gmail, Calendar).
- Comfortable working with remote teams and clients using tools such as Slack, Zoom, Google Meet, or MS Teams.
- Self-motivated, curious, and eager to stay current on search engine algorithms, industry trends, and emerging SEO technologies.

Compensation Disclaimer:
Compensation Range: $58,000 - $68,000 annually. Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to job-related knowledge, level of relevant experience, education, skills and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). 85SIXTY reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
