Position Summary:

85SIXTY is looking for an experienced Account Manager / Account Strategist with a background in performance media and eCommerce to work on travel & hospitality clients. Hands-on experience with media, analytics, and marketing measurement techniques is highly advantageous for this position.  The Account Strategist guides and coordinates activities between our internal teams and our clients.  This is not a sales position.  It is a hands-on strategic role that will work under the guidance of a Sr. Account Strategist or Director. The right candidate will not only have demonstrated marketing skills, but will be highly motivated, independent, capable of learning new tasks, and a strategic thinker.  This role will work across service areas including paid media, social media, analytics, content & creative, SEO, and email.  You should be very comfortable pulling reports, working with data, and interpreting information in the interest of continual improvement.

The Account Strategist will serve as the primary point of contact between the agency and our clients. The Account Strategist leads and guides the development of overall client objectives and the ongoing strategic direction of the clients’ marketing activity. The Account Strategist is focused on developing and strengthening positive client relationships across all levels and works internally to develop and execute strategies in collaboration across the agency. Is a natural self-starter and a team-player with a strong marketing and digital background with real life digital marketing experience. 

Knowledge of the outdoors, skiing and/or snowboarding, travel, hospitality, consumer goods, and/or ecommerce is ideal for this position. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-agency integrated marketing programs by participating in briefs and work sessions, contributing to the overall planning process, representing the interactive opportunity, defining interactive tactics within projects and campaigns.
  • Work with others on the account team in a collaborative way to drive results for the overall business.
  • Plan for all engagements including goals, deliverables, schedules and budgets by managing the workflow process with support from team members to ensure that teams are delivering on time and on budget.
  • Manage implementation of integrated offerings and tools and identify cross-platform opportunities.
  • Thoroughly understands the client’s business/brand, competitive environment, industry trends, and overall marketing plans/goals.
  • Ensure deliverables meet clients’ strategy and drives the business forward based on client objectives.
  • Provides support with analytics and other reporting, testing and QA, and vendor selection and management.
  • Leads regular client presentations, calls, and strategic discussions.
  • Defines and develops measurement models for project success with clients.
  • Spearheads consistent reviews of project delivery, research, analytics, best practices, etc.
  • Oversees the effective execution of marketing / advertising programs including written communication of changes and updates to all team members.
  • Partners with internal teams and external partners to communicate client objectives and develop strategic solutions.
  • Assists across all areas of the agency and lends a hand when additional resources are required.
  • Willing to work with clients on Eastern Time.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relatable experience in marketing, account management, media, analytics, and/or marketing measurement techniques.
  • Experience with digital media including SEM, Display, Paid Social, and Mobile.
  • Background in a digital performance marketing environment. Demonstrated ability to manage against performance targets (ROAS, CPA).
  • Demonstrated skill with web analytics tools including Google Analytics and/or Adobe Analytics. Background with Adobe Analytics is strongly advantageous.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively multi-task, managing multiple projects and people simultaneously and leverage knowledge and experience from project to project and rapidly comprehend, retain, and share information.
  • Customer-facing experience, influencing across levels and advising on performance improvements.
  • Proven ability to think and lead strategically.
  • A high degree of accuracy is required in all aspects of this job including a proven ability to manage budgets in a strategic fashion to achieve the client’s business objectives.
  • Sound judgment and interpersonal skills with excellent public speaking skills and experience.
  • Ability to foster strong, cohesive working interdisciplinary relationships.
  • Aptitude to define solutions that generate measurable results.
  • Highly skilled with data manipulation and visualization including Excel.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships internally and externally by gaining trust and delivering on expectations.
  • Extremely motivated, ready to learn new skills, and comfortable in a high-paced environment working across multiple clients from diverse industries.
  • Should be highly proficient with Excel and different advanced features, including pivot tables, vlookups, etc.
  • Should be highly proficient in Google Slides and Sheets.
  • Self-confident with strong presentation skills.

Compensation Disclaimer:

Compensation Range: $75,000 - $86,000 annually. Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to job-related knowledge, level of relevant experience, education, skills and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). 85SIXTY reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
