85SIXTY is seeking a Senior CRM Marketing Strategist to lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of lifecycle marketing programs across email, SMS, and emerging customer engagement channels, specifically supporting projects in the Insider One platform. This role bridges strategic planning with hands-on execution, helping clients transform customer data into meaningful, personalized marketing experiences.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in lifecycle marketing, customer segmentation, and cross-channel engagement platforms. They will guide client relationships, translate data into actionable strategies, and collaborate across internal teams to deliver high-performing campaigns that drive acquisition, retention, and long-term customer value.

This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, campaign execution, client leadership, and platform expertise to ensure successful lifecycle marketing programs for our clients. The role also plays a key part in helping clients operationalize their customer data through lifecycle marketing programs powered by modern engagement and Customer Data Platform technologies.

Responsibilities:

Client & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by establishing trust, setting clear expectations, and serving as a strategic advisor on lifecycle marketing initiatives.
  • Lead regular client meetings to present marketing strategies, campaign performance, insights, and optimization recommendations using presentation tools such as Google Slides or PowerPoint.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients on CRM, lifecycle marketing, and customer engagement strategy.
  • Proactively identify and propose opportunities to expand lifecycle programs through specific campaigns, automations, improved segmentation, personalization, and cross-channel engagement.

Lifecycle Strategy & Customer Engagement

  • Develop and execute lifecycle marketing strategies that support customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and loyalty.
  • Translate customer data and behavioral insights into targeted messaging strategies across email, SMS, and other digital engagement channels.
  • Design personalized customer journeys that leverage behavioral triggers, lifecycle milestones, and predictive segmentation.
  • Partner with clients to operationalize first-party data strategies that support scalable lifecycle marketing programs.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve lifecycle performance through testing, segmentation refinement, and campaign optimization.
  • Identify opportunities to expand lifecycle programs through new channels, journey orchestration, and deeper customer data activation across platforms such as Insider One.

Cross-Channel Campaign Execution

  • Plan, build, deploy, and optimize email/SMS/RCS marketing campaigns across multiple clients and industries.
  • Manage campaign calendars, including campaign briefs, messaging coordination, scheduling, and deployment.
  • Occasionally develop or edit email templates and campaigns directly within marketing platforms, including responsive email development using HTML and CSS when necessary.
  • Collaborate with creative, content, and analytics teams to ensure campaigns align with broader marketing strategies and brand standards.

Customer Data, CDP & Journey Orchestration

  • Manage lifecycle marketing programs within marketing automation and customer engagement platforms such as Insider One, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, HubSpot, and similar technologies.
  • Leverage Customer Data Platform capabilities to build unified audience segments using behavioral, transactional, and engagement data.
  • Design and manage automated lifecycle journeys using real-time triggers, behavioral events, and advanced segmentation.
  • Partner with internal analytics, engineering, and client teams to ensure proper data integration, event tracking, and identity resolution for effective campaign targeting.
  • Utilize predictive insights and platform capabilities to identify high-value audiences and deliver personalized messaging at scale.

Performance Analysis & Optimization

  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance across lifecycle programs, evaluating results on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Develop reporting and insights that communicate campaign performance, customer engagement trends, and return on investment.
  • Translate performance data into actionable recommendations that improve engagement, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value.
  • Lead testing strategies including A/B testing, segmentation experiments, and journey optimization.

Team Collaboration & Agency Contribution

  • Collaborate with internal teams including analytics, paid media, strategy, and creative to ensure lifecycle programs align with broader marketing initiatives.
  • Contribute to the growth and evolution of the CRM and lifecycle marketing practice within the agency.
  • Share best practices, industry trends, and platform insights with internal teams to support innovation and continuous improvement.


Desired Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, email marketing, marketing automation, marketing operations, or related digital marketing roles.
  • Direct hands-on experience using Insider One to build customer segments, activate campaigns, and manage cross-channel lifecycle journeys is required.
  • Strong experience with enterprise and mid-market marketing automation and customer engagement platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, HubSpot, and Insider One.
  • Experience working within Customer Data Platforms and journey orchestration tools to build advanced audience segments and activate personalized campaigns across email, SMS, web, and mobile channels.
  • Hands-on experience building, editing, or troubleshooting email campaigns including responsive email development using HTML and CSS.
  • Proven expertise in audience segmentation, testing strategies, and lifecycle marketing optimization.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret campaign results, identify trends, and develop testing recommendations.
  • Experience working directly with clients and presenting strategic recommendations and performance insights.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Understanding of marketing regulations and compliance standards including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA, and email industry best practices.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and within a collaborative team structure.

Compensation Disclaimer:

Compensation: $92,000 - $102,000 annually. Compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to job-related knowledge, level of relevant experience, education, skills and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). 85SIXTY reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
